Hello. I've just been drooling over g plans new vintage range at John Lewis ( a department store in uk) its based on their original designs and are gorgeous. Wayne Hemingway has brought them up to date with fab fabrics.

I so want theses sofas as I feel the 50 s theme may spill from my kitchen to the lounge !

There's a short vid to watch at link too

Richard

Isn't Hundevad still making furniture? I still like my wall system pieces even though this house does not have a wall long enough for the whole assembly to be together. I love the squared look and the neat features. It is furniture that appealed to appliance lovers, I thought.

We've several pieces of 60's and 70's G-Plan and danish influenced furniture. It's furniture I loved as a kid, growing up in the 70's and with parents who adored Chiswell, Parker and Danish Deluxe furniture.

Kalmar in Melbourne did versions of G-Plan tables for years. We've a lamp table with a drawer in it that draws comments from people regularly.

The g style would sure as heck be easier to deliver. We have split levels and often hire some rent a muscle to move things about. alr

Was that John Lewis stiff inspired by Robin and Lucienne Day?

I have a lot of real 60's Danish and my grandmothers fake Danish (aka Scandinavian Bouffant - Sweden was the capital of Big Hair tm in Europe in the 60's). It's underbart!

Here's a picture of a happy Swedish hemmafru in her stylish 60's kitchen (I believe the photo from the Stockholm City Museum). Notice please the double fridge-freezer on the far left - everyone in the 70's/80's on has them, but it was still new at this time.

I watched the video and downloaded the brochure, but still saw nothing about prices.

I'm assuming it would be prohibitively expensive to ship overseas in any case...still...would be good to know.
