Automatic Washer - The world's coolest Washing Machines, Dryers and Dishwashers

Help Support :

The brushed aluminum/stain chrome/stainless door was a 1957 only feature for GE TOL models.  On the refrigerator, the freezer door of the bottom mount model was this way, and on the washer and dryer, there was a panel below the dryer door (matching panel on the washer).  Again, only this one year.

Explains it all

I can now see that extra stainless door in the TOL - that's just interesting and different...I have the urge to paint it. LOL. Thanks very much for the photos, Lawrence. :-)

I checked this out already when the CL ad was first posted

since it's only 30 minutes away from Bingo... and if it hadn't had chips all along the front top edge and also very dirty I'd have been in my house by now. The yellow '58 Liberator we had was identical except for color and the stainless small oven door. Thease aren't super rare, they do pop up, just usually not so close by.
