Cruising the thrifts today,found a VHS of the 1982 movie "Diner":set at the end of 1959,there are lots of "period"TVs,Phonos,cars, and other artifacts that would have been seen in 1959 
The TVs all appeared to real 1950s sets in working order-no empty cabinets with a modern set propped behind the glass as I have seen in a couple other movies.Watching this on the 1982 Zenith "Space Command"console.Great movie BTW
