I had this dryer, found in a thrift store in a small town just North of here. It was in beautiful shape but a very slow machine, worse than a HOH fully loaded. Only one temperature, but not too hot. The heater and exhaust inlet were at the front of the drum. The front of the drum was perforated with too much space between the wall of the drum cavity and the clothes basket - just like the early WP/KM and consequently, much of the heat seemed to go right into the vent making the vent tubing hotter than the clothes! I never felt the clothes got overly hot, certainly not like some other of the vintage machines did. Despite it's lack of major attributes in performance, it was a beautiful machine aesthetically - so very Truman-era and who could dislike the door and handle??
