Thats "defiantly" the earliest SQ dryer I have ever

John, were your remarks influenced by the asking price?

I have the 54 TOL Speed Queen set! The dryer for sale is one of the lower-end of SQ offerings for the time, this model also was sold with a coin box & control instead of dials on the top. The washer looked the same as the dryer - two dials on the back of the top panel.

Gansky's SQ's

Greg, is that Speed Queen dryer of yours, gas? I don't see a 220V line, but I see the conduit for the Bendix!

It is a gas dryer, I need to photo them both a little better - it's been a long time since I've taken proper pictures of them. They are not in use right now - that picture is from 2003 or 04. The washer needs a little adjustment, spin pick-up is a bit slow and the dryer has a bad solenoid on the pilot valve. I have all the parts and bits I'd need to convert it to electric but just haven't done it. Cute dryer, but it's rather slow - as many early dryers were, but it make for nice, soft clothes.

Greg's Speed Queen set just goes to show what kind of quality appliances can, and do come out of Ripon, WI.  Makes me proud to be from WI also.  Nice pics!
