I recently picked up a 1956 Frigidaire 30" French Door range, and am having a problem finding the plastic glide that connects to the two door rods. Does anyone have service info for this oldie? I have no idea what the part number is or where I might be able to find replacement parts. The model number is RI-39-56 GN
Thanks!

I'm in the same boat-----

I think the parts you are describing are the nylon "sliders". The upper is #5435603 and lower is #5435604. If this does not sound right to you----- give me a more detailed description if possible and I will check the parts book again.

Best wishes!

That sounds like it. Did both rods hook to the sliders? When I got the range, the plastic sliders were already broken, and the rods not connected to anything. I have been trying to find a parts diagram to see if anything might be missing, but no luck so far..

Here is a pic of the unit, now all I need is the matching fridge!
Anyone out there have a parts diagram for this range?

Beautiful range Dwight! I know where the matching fridge is... Fort Wayne, all it needs is a good cleaning and paint job.

I may still have a pixs of it somewhere Dwight, let me check. If fact there were two models of 56 Frigidaire to choose from at this place, a one door model and a two door model.

Forgot to ask... Is that a 1960's Wurlizer juke by the doorway?

The juke (I have 10 of them!) is a 1964 Seeburg LPC-480. I have a few 60's Seeburgs, two Wurlitzer 3000's, a Rock-Ola Ultra, and a couple Rowe-AMI's. In other words, Too many!!
I keep saving these un-collectable ones from the trash, and the collection keeps growing!

I did not know that you collected jukes! I currently have two myself, and have had jukes since I was 10 years old. Can you post some pixs when you have a chance?

Cool! I love to see vintage jukes! There are a few others that have jukes here too.

.

56 2 door fridge

He usually gets $100.00 for these.

Dwight, let me know if you are interested.

That 2 door Imperial looks kinda cool!

And it would look fab with your range!

It can be painted to match... <:

Nice stove, and the fridge could be gorgeous. It is nice to see others in MI that share a love for the good stuff. I learned the hard way to be super careful when taking the doors off of a 50's fridge during a restore. Larry in Cleveland is always a good place to start for parts.
