1957 Frigidaire Range

Will anyone in the Cincinnati Ohio area remove and rebuild a burner transformer in a RI-70-57? Also need the clock and door springs repaired.

I can't speak to the burners or the door springs - but anyone who needs their range clock/timer repaired, send it to this place: General Time Repairs. They do excellent, fast work and at a very reasonable price, considering there's virtually nowhere else to have this done.

What's a "burner transformer"?

It has something to do with the Heatminder,some of the older ones had a transformer in the circuit, what for I don't know.

Transformer?

The heat element warms but does not get hot.
I'm told the transformer is the problem and it can be rebuilt.

Burner.

Mr. Jackson is a customer of mine at the appliance parts store. Because I work here, I am not allowed to run service. Basically, the burner in question looks to have a temperature sensor and it can be controlled by the timer. The temperature sensing function is no longer operational and he wishes to convert it over to a standard burner.

Any tips?
