1958 Easy 'Regent' with Underlid Filter

Automatic Washer - The world's coolest Washing Machines, Dryers and Dishwashers

Help Support :

Glenn, Thanks. I guess that one was older than I thought. Maybe it was the one she traded in when they bought the combo. It was not this deluxe. It had pushbuttons for the water temps and when it finished filling, there was a loud snap like the button was popping back out. I shoulda looked. My mind was on something else.

You're awesome. Cool how you can see the drain holes at the top of the tub and the infamous unchanging spirilator? How to reconcile the lid filter with the one the fits over the agi? Bad Shrooms? The flter was only for the Spindrier model?
hmmm.

Thanks Glenn, you can see that this filter has the recirculation flume mounted right in the cabinet top, where as in my machine the mounting is under the top and the flume is sort of pointed downward so it would probably miss the filter pan if there was one mounted on top of the agitator.

Mickey, you can see the one row of holes in all solid tub Easy washers at the top of the tub.

holes ()()()()()() slits : )

Funny you should bring up those holes, Robert!! I've been meaning to tell you since New Year's Day, after I read your stuff. You wondered WHERE DOES ALL THE WATER GO? because you can't see the holes, rather, slits in the Frigidaire. I wondered and wondered just like you did. And one day i was feeling around under the tub's rim and I felt the slits and it was as if I had discovered the secret of the universe. Then I yanked the pulsator forward which exposed the outer rim, and THERE THEY WERE--a million slits.

It is one of my strongest memories.

I was seven.

Mikey
