Picked these up as it seemed nobody wanted them. Here is a before shot - I just got them. They were hooked up and I assume they work. If anyone can tell the exact age of the dryer I would be most interested.
1959-1962 something Westinghouse dryer saved from Krusher

am tapped out on space though I think I might try to keep this dryer if it works okay. There is one problem what I believe is the start switch is broken and I need to figure out some replacement. Or I could perhaps secure this inner push button to the cabinet and it would work. I see hinges on the back but don't know how to push the top of the cabinet up?

Yes that is the remnant of the instruction sticker still on the top of the machine.

1959, suspect the model number is D-120. The similar looking 1960 DBA-30 no longer had the 'Clothes Dryer' script on the slant front.

Very cool WH dryer Brian
The switch that is broken is the light switch so if it broken it should not keep you from running the dryer.
WH Dryers from 1959-1963 were decent performers but not very reliable, hopefully whoever had this dryer did not use it much.
It is still a rare and neat dryer to save, Jerry in Pittsburgh Pa has almost the matching washer if you decide to part with it.

This is a 1960 dryer, 1961 at latest. The oval window was brought out for the 1961 or 1962 model year.
Nice washer! Looks like it has at least 2 speeds, 3 wash temps, 2 rinse temps, mini-basket, large capacity. No newer than 1972.
Hopefully it won't have to be scraped/parted out.

seems to be working fine. I am happy to have it. I would like to see Jerry's washer maybe these two could get together someday.
I secured that light button with an electrical coupling thing. the 27" fluorescent bulb is going to be a challenge to find. I will have to rig something up if I want to keep the console lighted. Any ideas would be most appreciated.
The top just pops off with a bit of effort. The insides look like new so I think it is a keeper.

Very nice looking dryer, it's cleaned up well. Doesn't look like it was used too heavily over the years.

Great save, yours is a 1959...my dryer is a 1960 and is the same...my washer is a 1961...let me know if you need repair advice

If you do part out the washer, I would buy the entire top and pay for shipping.
If the motor and clutch works, I'm sure you'd find a buyer for that as well.
