You should remove the cover over one of the rear surface units while using the oven. The oven vent is under one of them and needs to be able to release the moisture somewhere other than under the whole cooktop where it will cause all kinds of trouble.

I too used a vintage stove to do my turkey, for me it was my 1962 Frigidaire Flair

Hmmm that Flair with a turkey in it looks deelicious, Ben should ship me his Flair range out. But I'd need another whole kitchen-damn! Two kitchens is not enough.
