BRAINARDCOOPER:

Did you end up contacting the seller of the GE Mobilemaid? If so, did you decide to get it? Keep us posted and let us know what's happening. If you decide you don't want to get it, then maybe I'll try to get it?

Hi Christina,  I actually have a Mobile Maid available that is in great shape.   You can see pics of it in thread # 76535.   Mine is free, comes with a stash of replacement parts (including a motor & pump),  and is located in Utah, right next to you!   :)

Please take a look and let me know (or anyone interested for that matter!)

Same exact model as ours

Which one believes will sooner or later be given the push.

Don't use DW much these days, and can really use space for another appliance.

These Mobile Maids are quite capable dishwashers with proper detergent and plenty of very hot water. Fast, not so economical with energy or water, but gets the job done.

One of my main gripes is the thing has etched nearly every bit of glassware or dishes put into. This and marred all white dishware, mugs, cups, etc.. with horrible grey marks. These are part of set got when first moved out of house after college, which was many years ago now. They survived > ten years of being washed in the Frigidiare (badged Kenmore) dishwasher, only to be reduced to rack and ruin in GE mobile maid.

Other main gripe is rather puny space for bowls. They go round side of lower most rack with limits things to about six. Can put them elsewhere such as one of the lift out racks, but only smallest will fit.
