Hi all, I hope your new year has been off to a good start!

I purchased a rotary iron second hand that came in the mail a bit busted. One of the issues is that the upper body was slopping downwards preventing clothing from being fed onto the roller. Today a technician came and he pushed the hood upwards which I thought fixed the issue. Although now I am able to use the machine, I can still tell that it is sloped downards. I was wondering if there are any miele technicians on this board that could suggest what part I should unscrew before I begin trouble shooting, or anyone who owns this iron, the b990 or the b890 who have had a similar issue and fixed it. I have pictures below of (A) what it looks like and (B) a picture of what it is supposed to look like

So I think I know the problem. It is the trough and/or swivel arm. When I unclamp the emergency release at the back of the machine, the trough is aligned properly if I wiggle it. Of course, in typical Miele fashion, being able to take it apart seems impossible and I don't want to ruin the machine (electrical wiring is located inside this section)...so I am going to wait until for a second Technician appointment for them to fix it 🙃

I thought I would leave this comment and future updates if someone in the future finds themselves in the same place as me and needs answers

I cannot say that has happened to me; mine is still in the same condition as the day I got it. It looks like it may have been damaged in shipping. Was it an authorized Miele tech that came out to look at it? If so, I am surprised they left it like that with no remedy.
Thanks for the reply! Yes it was indeed damaged in shipping. And yes it was an authorized Miele technician who paid me a visit. The problem, at least what I understood from the technician, is that they rarely see the rotary iron and so have limited experience in how to fix it. I also don't think they are given any manuals on repairing this specific machine. I feel like both technicians and customers are set up for failure, at least for the rotary iron, which is quite absurd as it is not a defunct product. However this is my experience as a Canadian, and from what I read online, the customer service experience in Europe and even USA is better. In the technician's defence, I wrongly assumed the problem was remedied because he pushed the trough forward and it looked less slanted than original. It was only once he left and I sat down did I notice the machine was still slanted, just less than it originally was.

I am going to wait until the technician arrives again to try to fix it once and for all and then actually get to using it. Hopefully my next comment is a final one bearing good news !!!
