Hey I was emailing with someone last spring about a 1960s model whirlpool washer and dryer that was forsale and I cant find the email I am going to be in psp and sand diego in two weeks and would love to find them anyone out there with any info let me know..

That is a very nice set. What are you asking for them, do they light up, and what it the vent system behind the dryer?

I believe it's one of those indoor vents that you fill with water to theoretically condensate the moisture and retain the lint but do almost nothing.

I had a dryer that came with one of those things. it was terrible.

Internal condensation boxes

I think you will find they are meant to be frozen before use so the steam will turn to water and once used need refreezing before another load can be dried. Never been tempted fortunately as too much faff and condenser dryers over here have been quite successful if you don't want to empty the water container most can be connected to the washer drain and you just have to clean the filter like any other dryer.

Latter I will post pics of the Maytags and a KDS-17 dishwasher and trash compactor that also have to go.
They are on a thread here on AW I can’t find at the moment, and the machines themselves are now buried behind other appliances and assorted crapola.

The dryer looks newer than the washer. I see the "sun glow" on the dryer. It's a Halo of Heat from 1975 and no chrome strip. I'm surprise Coppertone was available in 1975.

Shaded Copper-Tone MT W&Ds

Was available through 1976 and then was changed to unshaded Coffee till MT dropped brown altogether.
