That dryer was featured in so many Edison Electrical Institute ads for flameless electric clothes drying. Two women with coffee cups were seated in front of it. One thing I love about non-air conditioning weather is that I can use my wonderful electric dryers.

The timed/de-wrinkle/fluff

Does the heat come on at all for this cycle for de-wrinkle?  Is air fluff only the last 10 minutes?

Dewrinkle is the same in all of these GE dryers. It is 25 minutes of heat followed by 10 minutes of cooldown. Wash and wear needed to be heated up to 160F to relax the fabrics so it used the normal drying heat of the single oerating temperature drying thermostat. The 10 minute cooldown at the end was nice in this single temperature dryer because if you had something heat sensitive to dry, you could set the timer for like 13-15 minutes of dry time which would warm up the shroud behind the heating element and other metal comonents then the heat shut off at 10 minutes and the item would continue to tumble in gradually cooling air. I used to dry my non-permanent pressed 100% cotton twin sheets in our GE. I would set it for 21 minutes and when the dryer turned off, the sheets were dry, barely warm and almost as smooth as if ironed.
