Wow Lee that is cool looking machine never heard of the brand is it a hard mount ?
That spun at 1000 rpm only heard of soft mounts that can go that fast in high capacity machines.

Back in the early 1980s

I worked in a local hospital laundry and we had two 450lb divided chamber washers, one 250lb dryer and a couple of 100 lb dryers, huge ironer for the sheets, pillow cases and other linens (flatwork). The ironer was steam heated and had huge rollers that we had to change the covers on several times a year and attached to that was an automatic folder. We also ued a small 75lb machine for smaller items such as baby blankets, PJs, mop heads etc.

Interesting job from the machine stanpoint but one of the jobs that ranks as the worst I ever had and that was due to the people that I worked with - namely the "foreman" and the supervisor.

All the Hammond machines were soft mount machines. That one did not even have anchor holes. The cups at the top were used for dry supplies and tilted up when called for and washed down into the machine / The timer on the left could programed any way you wished with rubber windshield wiper type blade. There are still some in operation today.
