I have a 1964 Kenmore TOL dryer in aqua that is in need of a drum belt....but having trouble identifying the proper DRUM belt. I have several extra blower belts, but I have been unable to find the drum belt. Its the early style Kenmore/Whirlpool design with the solid back with a drum bearing in the center. Model number of the dryer is: 110.6408920. Took a stab at ordering a couple of what appear to be the most standard of belts: FSP #337388 and also FSP 341241 They are both just a little too short. Have replaced the belts on Kenmore/Whirlpool dryers dozens of times so Im experienced with doing it.....I just cant seem to find the correct part #. Any help would be appreciated.

Wouldn’t a belt from a current 29” dryer work? Seem to think it since the 1966 to the present Whirlpool dryers seem to have a similar size/diameter as the older Whirlpool dryers. Thinking about getting a replacement belt for mine with the Mark 18 conversion it’s going under.

Drum belt for early whirlpool built dryers

The 237555 was the original belt. It was four ribs wide, it was substituted to the 337019 which is just three ribs wide.

If you can get the 555 belt it’s a little heavier, Duty, but the 337019 belt will work just fine. That was the substitution many years ago.

Hi Sean, you have one of these dryers you should know that the belt is different than the newer 29 inch dryer after 1966, I’m still waiting for you to figure out what kind of belt you’re gonna put on your crazy conversion dryer you’re making.

Going to put the original drum belt on it came with. Though, will experiment to see if there’s any others that are off the shelf that will fit in the future.
