Today we were able to dive into the matching dryer to the 1965 Kenmore Model 70 Coppertone washing machine. Dryers are so much easier to tune up. It’s mostly cleaning and lubricating. This dryer is the earlier 2-belt design and I suspect the blower belt was the cause of this dryer being taken out of service. The drum belt definitely wasn’t looking so great either. The translucent plastic portion of the panel was broken but I was lucky to find a replacement. There was still a little bit of sprinkler oil left in the vial and it actually smelled quite nice.

This is an otherwise no-frills dryer with two timed cycles: heat or air dry. The dryer moves lots of air and gets very hot. Great machine and runs very smoothly. So glad to have this set complete!
