Hi

I have a favour to ask , the timer motor on my washer has broken, it was a bit tempremental and i thought it was due to loose connections, however the other day it stated to make scraping noises as if it was struggling to tick around, the machine took  longer than normal and when it normally pauses for a minute before final spin it stopped for about 25! ( i wasnt paying attention so thought it had finished when it started up again) The timer motor is made by controls of America but is a sealed unit.

Can it be oiled or repaired? does any one know who or where this can be done or where i can get one,

Thanks Richard

timer motor

Hi, I have had success over the years with these motors by care fully prising them open where the metal tags of the cover are pressed onto the base. You can then see wether the gears are cracked or just stuck. only lubricate them with silicone and check for cracks.
