A big thank you goes out to Dean (robinsondm) who was kind enough to donate one of those fabulous 40+ page General Electric appliance catalogs to the Ephemera Library.

This one is the 1967 version of the catalog (at least we believe it's '67, might have some '66 appliances in it as well).

I also added an Amana Appliance Catalog from 1980, along with a Jenn-Air Electric Range Brochure from 1980.

Thought I would say Thank You for that latest GE Download (that I am not a real DE Die Hard, enough to download it right now; there are tons of 'em from nearly EVERY Golden Year!)...

I did, however, purchase and download the Amana one... (Fridges, freezers, electric cook tops, electric ranges, microwaves & conventional electric ovens)

That is the "Best, Regardless of Price" brand-recommendation for refrigerators & freezers in a How To Buy Major Home Appliances Book that I have... So although the catalog is from 1980, and my book was publsised in 1973, I had to have it...

Thank you again...!

Many Thanks -

To both Dean and Robert for their efforts in bringing this to Automatic Ephemera.

The catalog is indeed from '67, and even the single looking-over I've given it so far shows that it has a lot of answers to questions. The biggest informational find so far is the model number of the predecessor to the J 757 range I have. The '67 version is the one with the PyroKitty™ pushbutton burner controls at each side of the cooktop; the later version I have has rotary controls mounted on the control panel.

I had seen the early version also described as Model J 757, and I had long thought, "Well, that can't be right, because GE usually changed model numbers when they did updates on a range." But this '67 catalog proves that the early version was also cataloged as Model J 757, making that model number apply to both this version and the later one.

Anyway, nice work, guys! I'm really grateful and pleased.
