Seriously considered going for this set, but just don't have space to spare. It has been made clear as it is things need moving on, not adding to one's "collection", so that's me for you.

Gosh! From a few bucks to nearly $3k with about a day left of bidding. Hope didn't cause any hurt feelings by listing this auction causing someone to miss out .

I sure hope they're in good running shape. It'd be a real pain to shell out $2300 plus buyer premium and sales tax to find there're issues with one or both.

Last few days things were basically down to two bidders up against each other. Someone new came in at last few minutes and copped the lot for $2,400 USD

Sure hope those units don't have issues, winning bidder's CC will be charged at once for final hammer price plus BP, and that will be that. No refunds.....

Can these things do a boil wash? And if the answer is "yes" do they take forever to heat the water like most of the 120v machines?

IIRC W1 washers can reach temp of 170F on certain cycles. Naturally doing so from tap cold water is going to take longer compared to 2100 to 3000 watts of heating power that came with Miele washers of old.
