Here's a long story. Back in 1967 my dad had orders for Viet Nam so we moved from Anchorage Alaska to Concord NC with my grandmother. My Mother insisted on a clothes line but my dad refused to put one up so he went to Sears and purchased - for $99.00 - a dryer for her. They still have the dryer after 38 years with only 1 repair still working like brand new. I'm sure it will be mine but wondered if the matching washing machine existed. I found it (sold unfortunately) from a website that sells vintage applicances restored.(see link) I would love to find the matching washing machine to go with the dryer for my future house. it may not have quite the character of the GE Filter Flo or Frigidaires but I thin it would be cool to have the set. I'll keep hunting.

Way KEWL console

I remember Sears had a similar console on the back of its front-loading portable dishwashers of circa the same era. Athough the controls were in the front on the door, the console contained the power cord and the uni-coupler with water & drain hoses.

I wish I coud have bought this

agiflo I was not the lucky one to have purchased this machine but i'm hopeful that another one exists. Here is a shot with the sliding panel open. I would love to have found an interior shot somewhere

These are handsome units indeed. Robert and I once attended an estate sale where both washer and matching dryer were still in the house, in avocado green and in beautiful condition. Very nice design.
