My parents bought a new set of Kenmores the year I was born, 1970. She used those machines until the early 1980's when my aunt got a new set and gave my mom her old ones. They were harvest gold Whirlpools. My mom gave my grandma her set and she used them until 1990. I don't know what happened to the old Kenmores, but I would sure like to see a picture of them if anyone has one. BTW the washer my grandma had before my mom's hand-me-downs was a rainbow colored control backsplash. What kind was it? I just can't remember for the life of me. Tim

OH MAN|!!

That's the rainbow washer. Man I never thought I'd see one again. Thanks so much. Could I see the inside?

The Kenmores were white with a charcoal gray control panel. The washer had a gold agitator with a cap on it. The dryer had a drum light, and the lint screen on top. It's control panel was like the washer. I can't remember too much about the control dials, but I have never seen a washer like it anywhere else. I know they were probably popular machines, especially here in the south where Sears is KING! That's about all I can remember about them. Tim
