I would say 'yes'

This appears to be a Model JP661V, as shown in the 1978 catalog (note, the cooktop does not feature shaded edges, should indicate one of "The New Naturals").  Text says:

"Features two 6" and two 8" units Three units are plug-ins and the fourth is the 8" Sensi-Temp unit with non-stick griddle.  Other features include removable reflector pans/rings, "on" indicator light, 3 infinite heat controls."

pan size selector

I think the small knob let's you select the pan size for that burner, if you look at it there are three separate coils. I have had that on other GE cook tops and ranges and it is great for small pans.
You will like it.

kind of looks familar

I got a white one.. Not here, at this house.... A nice guy that ran a copy shop, gave me one. a white one. Hubby hooked it up out in garage. with an added plug. He put it on an old end table. with HFreight rollers. I used the heck out of it esp back in 2011 when canning... that was at former home. Now it at other home... so I dont know the model number....
Just chiming in

Oh, very nice!  These were TOL for their time.

The small selector is indeed for pan size, I have two sizes on my 57 GE and it is a handy feature.  My Sensi-Temp was long gone before I got the range, but it would make the size selector even more useful.

Pan size selector...

Bonus! We had that feature also on our '58 GE Liberator and it was a feature that we used a lot. It was hard to turn these down for the price, even though our GE double oven is in Coppertone, at least the colors sort of go well together.

Wow!  Great find Roger - coppertone and Harvest Gold were happily paired up when my parents updated the kitchen in 1974 - I think it worked fine together.  Congratulations!

thanks!

According to Sandy these were made into the '80s, and one in stainless steel is to be seen in Julia Child's "The Way to Cook" series! BTW we have that particular cookbook and it's a terrific one, her Boeuf Bourgignon recipe is the best!

We began transitioning from coppertone to harvest gold in 1974 with fridge and rotorack.  Stayed that way until black glass/brushed chrome/stainless steel in late 1980s.
