My Grandmother bought a 1967 Wildcat and it was still going strong in 1991 when she died. Unfortunately we sold the car--That baby would eat the road up!

I remember they got about 4 feet to the gallon. My favorite Rivs were 1968 through 1970.

I had a husband with a sage green '69 Riv.GS and that thing was a rocket. Used to fly up and down Peachtree-Dunwoody Rd. in it. Those were the days.

I love the picture of your 75 Electra 225 Pete. That was the bomb! I would have loved to cruise with you on the highway! That is an awesome looking car!
Greg. That is a great looking car! I agree with you not my favorite color, but it was so popular back when! That Rivera looks to be in awesome shape. The price is a little sharp though. I love you example of the perfect color for this time period. It was may favorite also. I also had a friend that had an Eldorado that was Maroon on Maroon. I though he was the vault. That was so many moons ago.
Steve. I love the memories of you running Peachtree Dunwoody in your friends 69 Riviera. I bet that was so much fun!!!! I would love to have been a passenger with a camera to capture it all! Too much fun!
Funny how cars and appliances bring up so many great memories!

I read somewhere that the 75 76 Electra's were the longest car GM ever made, they were even an inch or something longer than the 75 76 Devilles

Always liked the boat tail look of those old Rivs. But from the looks of it on the slalom they really did handle like big boats, LOL. The big rear window glass was nice too - sort of reminiscent of the '65 Barracuda.

I like the big ones! No problem parking them in GA but NY can be a challenge. Owned 3 Lincoln town cars. Great on long trips.

It's not that I don't like big cars... they are great on the highway, after all. But around town... they can be a handful. I've always wanted to have a big Cadillac - such as something from the 60's or earlier. But right now there's no room at the inn.
