Automatic Washer - The world's coolest Washing Machines, Dryers and Dishwashers

Help Support AutomaticWasher.org:

I wish we could see better pics of the model number at the back.

If I remember well, Cory's website states the first models with "Automatic Defrost" are from 1974.

My aunt had that same microwave but from the '80's when Amana last used that design...

It even still worked but "Auntie" just was wary of its age & it's "evil rays" getting out, so she unfortunately got rid of it...

But even at my age back then & the few times I'd been to her house then, I remember how well that oven performed...

This is an RR-4D. This particular exmaple suffers from the same issue most pre 1976 Radaranges suffer from - the paint around the dials and push buttons flakes away from fingers and finger nails. Out of all the pre-digital RR's, the 4D certainly is the most common.

If I were someone in the Twin Cities *(hint hint), I'd offer the seller a few Andrew Jacksons to take it off their hands, and use a mint-ier panel from a broken machine.

JUST SAYIN'!

My aunt aand uncle also had this model. They had it until 1997 when they remodeled their kitchen and got an over the range microwave instead. Ironically the timer never worked on theirs so you always had to stand by to keep and eye on things.
