1973 Wayne Pedestal Sump Pump Manual

The old pump rotted away a few years ago, but I still have the old manual for it. Was bought in 1973 for $38.50.

Model SPV-500 Wayne cast iron or bronze sump pump with American made Century electric motor 1/3hp heavy duty. Lasted 24 years. The new ones aren't as good.

The Century motors from what I understand are now antiques, and I think were originally manufactured in St. Louis, Missouri.

There was a Frazier episode where a caller asked him what to do because his wife wanted to take a European vacation and he wanted a new sump pump.  So Frazier says take the vacation but the man says:  "But I really think we need a new sump pump" and Frazier hangs up in frustration "What the hell is a sump pump"!?

I would think there would be a lot of them in Seattle.
