Automatic Washer - The world's coolest Washing Machines, Dryers and Dishwashers

Interesting...

Pete that model 1032 Convertible is the same as US model 1030 with some minor differences. Aside from the model number, it looks like model 1032's bumper goes all the way around, while the US 1030 only had the 1/2 bumper.
Also, the 1032 is much later than the US 1030, which was discontinued here in 1973.
Love the pics!

That Sabco sweeper is Australian - I'd never have imagined they were exported. SABCO is the South Australian Brush Company. I don't think they make sweepers any more but Sabco brooms are still in every supermarket.

I'll take item "A" for scrubbing the kitchen floor. When I was a kid we had something like that. Question is, does anyone make anything like that now? Just two brushes and a motor; tank for detergent-water is optional. Follow after with a separate wet-pickup vacuum or at worst a mop. Hell of a lot easier than scrubbing by hand with a brush...

Thanks! Yes, I see a bunch of Koblenz machines from about $135 to $250 online, plus a Hoover at about $125.

Very very tempting.

Would also require a wet/dry vac to slurp up the water (otherwise the water has to be mopped up, which is what I'm trying to avoid in the first place!).

Keep your eyes peeled on ebay for a Hoover Floor-A-Matic. I just got a NOS one, and it's great.

Not only does it scrub, but it also sucks up the dirty water. The whole concept is similar to the Hoover Floormate, but it's more versatile; you can also use it for rugs, buffing, etc.

Remember the name: Floor-A-Matic by Hoover--the finest name in floor care!
