1989 In-Sink-Erator ISE Classic Supreme 3000 Dishwasher

Hello, my wife wanted to upgrade, no choice but must sell full working ISE Classic Supreme 3000 Dishwasher. CLSUP-2 made in the Hobart KA period. 1989 Model

Model is complete and fully functional, all modes work perfect, dishwasher was removed from service this week and works perfectly as you all know this cleans fast and cleans perfectly. No rust, no chips, all internal parts and racks excellent shape. Complete with original owners guide and install manual, the only issue is a relative staying over broke the soap dispenser door recently because they did not read how to use it.

Dishwasher is located in Andover, Massachusetts, I can bring to Boston weeknights.

Looking for best reasonable offer please.

You are upgrading?

To What? Stainless steel? Why downgrade to what passes for any dishwasher today and keep the ISE and change the panels to Stainless ones? You have the Vari-Pack panel kit already on the machine and all you have to do it have the stainless ones cut to size if you cannot find a set on Ebay and slide them in to place and you have a new dishwasher! One that uses water and detergent to clean the dishes.

The broken dispenser is so easy to change and you will surely find one of them on Ebay or Amazon as well. I believe I sold the one new one I had but if I find it, I will let you know.

They were great dishwashers and actually an upgrade from the similar machines built by Whirlpool with Hobart engineering but they came with the upgraded racks and on your model, the Rapid advance timer. Yours would be equivalent to the K/A 21 and 22 series. The sold well as they were priced lower than their Kitchenaid cousins.

Like Eddie said, "you will miss that machine," the first time you run a load of dishes in your new machine.

One thing I can say with confidence is that this is a relatively low use machine.   The painted gray and blue strips on the buttons were worn off on one of my ISE machines.  On the subject machine, only the "normal" button shows slight wear, and that might only be a lighting or camera issue.

 

It sounds like this was an early 21 series from when Hobart was still making them, but it still has the $250K sliding door lock, which I came to prefer over KA's flip-up type.

 

Somebody within striking distance should nab this one if they don't mind the single rinse.

Emerson

Interesting. Did Hobart always use Emerson motors? Or did they placate Emerson on the ISE line of dishwashers?

IIRC, Hobart switched to Emerson motors (maybe when they switched to the reversing type?) and that's how ISE ended up with a piece of the action.  It continued for a while after Whirlpool took over.

ISE Dishwasher

This ISE DW was built around June of 1989, Emerson Electric bought KA in 1986, but this was just a guise as WP really owned KA from 1986 on.

There was never an ISE-KA style DW till WP-Emerson took control of the Kitchenaid brand in 1986, before this there were ISE DWs that were built by WP.

Hobart quit building there own motors with the introduction of the reversing motor 21 series DWs and bought the better Emerson motors instead.

The reversible 21-22 series motors will fit the 18-20 KA DWs, it will just run in one direction and you have to install a start relay.
