The GWL08 and DE04 at the nephew's apartment.  Will be 19yo (the machines, not the nephew, he's 25) July 17th.

The washer has had one repair, pump replacement.

The dryer has had no repairs ... except the door handle got cracked somewhere along the way.  I tried glueing it (it's on the water heater shelf above) but that didn't work so well.

They've been moved four times if I have the count correct, maybe five times ... between myself, the grandmother, the sister, and the nephew.

We had to raise the dryer a little so the cord would reach the outlet (short by an inch).

I have a 12 . . .

. . . year old F&P washer and top load dryer. Never a problem with the washer. It does a superb job with the washing and at the time was the only top load that spun at 1000 rpm. No complaints with it.

The dryer has been a good one, too. However, I did have a service call because something in the gas mechanism would not allow it to ignite. Something in there had to be replaced. I know not what. It's been a great dryer, however. And I love the reverse tumble which I understand is no longer available. Pity.

As a result of my liking the F&P laundry, I also have an F&P gas cooktop and a double drawer F&P dishwasher, all of which operate flawlessly. It's a good brand.

That's great! My Intuitive washer/dryer set is 12 y/o and I still love the pair, so much so that I dread the day when they finally have to be replaced. Your post gives me hope that won't be for another decade or so. :)

Minimal repairs on both (broken agi fin on my washer and a small water leak that I fixed with a 25-cent hose clamp, and three lint screen / scraper replacements on the dryer, plus I did get bearings done under warranty due to some "squeaking"). I love the convenience and reverse tumbling of the dryer so much that I curse F&P for scrapping the design. I have to make it last forever now because I can't buy a new one of the same thing!
