After the fire have not been able to replace the AV equipment I used to have-they don't have it-don't know when the place can get it and don't know when they can delivor.Plus my charge card won't let me charge the outfit I did want to buy at the time.So I just said TO HECK WITH IT!!!!Just watch off YouTube on the IPad.There is only ONE supplier inn my town.So far doing fine without a TV or the other equipment.Of course nothing on TV worth watching at this stage and don't want to pay a satellite or cable broadcaster to bring their TRASH into my place.

90% of my tv viewing is on Youtube Premium. It's well worth the $10 or so bucks a month to never have ads. I'd ditch the cable in a heartbeat but the other half still watches regular tv.

how do you set up an ad-blocker for youtube on your tv?

Not sure about that one, I watch everything from my computer.

I would imagine that if you have chosen to pay u-tube ad blocker and have it set up on your computer, that when you sign in on your tv with your account info that the ad blocker would transfer to the tv, same as your computer. The ad blocker is registered under your account info. Should work on any computer or tv.

I have a 32 " JVC that I bought in August 2001, still running like a charm, since all the channels are digital now people tell me a should buy a new tv. I'm old school if it's not broke don't fix it, even with the channels it doesn't look that bad. 😎

You guys can enjoy your PLASMA televisions all you want.
Not me, I never cared for them, and I repaired many in the shop over the years.
Why, you might ask?
Because they suck up a lot of electricity when on.... between 300 to about 500 watts! - for all that heat that they generate.
Now compare that to a microwave oven being constantly on for an evening of watching a football game - there goes all your "energy-saving" with electric bills through the roof!
They sometimes need fan-cooling too, I once repaired a Sony set that had TWO cooling fans, gunked up with dust too. - and so was the internals.

I waited, and in 2014 I got a sweet Panasonic LED set which uses ONLY 75 watts and has a stunning picture, and is still working great for 11 years.
