Hey all, I come to you with a question I have to ask just out of pure curiosity. The other day while browsing use and care guides, I came across a “Theory and operation” guide for the Whirlpool Gold Electronically controlled Catalyst. In it, it claims it has a usable service mode and machine test functions. Being that they’re similar, does the Kenmore Elite versions have this? I didn’t even know the Whirlpool ones had this, but now that I know, I’ve been extremely curious, and cannot find a theory and operation guide for the Kenmore models.

according to the guide, the way to access it on the WP Gold ones is to press the buttons in the order “Accuwash -> Wash/rinse -> Accuwash -> Wash/rinse”

Is anyone here able to confirm or deny this being a thing on both Kenmore Elite and Whirlpool Gold models?

Surely.  Prit'much all electronic appliances have a service/test mode.  A couple tech sheets for Kenmore Catalyst models are 3954356 and 8526175 if you can find them.

There was at least one non-electronic Kenmore Catalyst model 110.24036301, tech sheet 8545381.

Thank you for the information! It makes sense that it has it but it never occurred to me that they would have a service mode. This may come in handy in the future should I have problems with it.
