placed on a pallet and running a test wash-so far no trouble awakening from 19yr slumber other than insulating blanket crumbled and fell apart at slightest touch...Machine runs with a thrumming vibration from a pump that is not perfectly balanced and sounds like quite active water action inside.

dishwasher pump noise

My grandma has a vacation house in Florida where she has a GE dishwasher. When the water pours into the machine, you could hear the pump vibrating as it tries to recirculate the wash water.

never have I ever used a dishwasher that was so noisy and yet couldn't keep stuff on the top rack clean... I think the weird spray tower design was to blame, 4 holes on the perimeter with a 5th on top... what were they thinking!?!?!?

washing results...

...are a little bit meh so far on crudded on grease and nasty pet bowls-pretty sure the cause is too-low water temp:cold fill,missing insulation blanket,and running under shade tree results in luke-warm wash water...Easier soils cleaned up nice.GE detractors will like that the lower rack has already started to rust-at the top of a couple tines where the vinyl coating is very thin.Back to too-cool water problem,do not know watts of the heater,but FL amps on this machine 6.1 IIRC-may hook up ammeter to see when the heater is active.

back in storage...

i placed this machine back in storage because of the meh wash performance that was mostly because missing insulation blanket and lower wattage heater could not keep water hot and yibs not filtered.So simple it is probably reliable though.

I noticed on the latest models of these roughly 2022, the motor did have a fan sound along with the ball bearings. It kinda had a soft brush whirr sound.
