Regarding my appearance, thankfully, I do not have any facial disfigurements or anything like that, so I have nothing to worry about actually, but my main reasons for being a little conscious of my appearance are that I can’t dress in a particularly smart way – it’s all T-shirts and trousers/pants. Secondly, I always have a somewhat swollen neck and lower jaw because of my condition (swollen glands). That is because my immune system is basically stuck in a high gear for much of the time, but my face does not look that swollen anyway – it’s just more obvious when I put my into a certain position. I am not being vain at all, but the swollen neck does actually hurt – it’s sore. My doctors can tell a lot from my condition based on how my glands feel! LOL :- <br
I had that photo taken because that really is me at my best, even if I did need a shave!
I do look like I do in the photo much of the time, but it’s sometimes difficult to photograph me because, again, my swollen neck becomes somewhat obvious, and I end up looking somewhat unwell, but it’s not too bad at times, as the photo above shows. :- <br
