Rivas' videos echoed what Speed Queen told me as well as my local dealer when I bought my 432 recently--there was no way to accommodate the mech timer for the new requirements for 2018. I will say that I probably made a mistake by buying the 432 for $879 locally because for only $899 I could've bought the electronic timer model and it had a 5-year instead of a 3-year warranty. However, I never use the ECO cycle or the delicate cycle anyway.
The real disappointment is the matching dryer, as there is no moisture sensor. I was stupid and didn't even think about it, assuming that it had one. Over the past two months I've rather learned where to set the 'auto dry', but it's still a great step backward, and I urge anyone purchasing to consider this.
