Thank you, Fred,

for posting these snapshots.

However, even if I could afford such a place, I would be afraid. Not of the tourists, but of the winter Minnegasco bill!

Even though it's not decorated in period Victorian, I find it very warm and inviting as is.  So when are you and Robert closing on it?

Only $16,600 per month...

I could make one house payment every 5.3 months if I put my entire paycheck toward it. I drive by it for a photo op whenever I'm with someone who hasn't seen it before--usually after we stop in at the Walker Art Center. Great to see the inside!

Fred and Robert

Thanks for showing us all of these pictures of this beautiful house. Wow, yes we could all pool our money together and buy this. What about those taxes and the gas bill in the winter? I have an 1897 Queen Anne victorian but surely not this grand.
There would be lots of room though for all of our washer and vacuum collections. Here is a picture of mine, not as grand and it pales to Mary's house, not even comes close to the one in Minneapolis. Thanks for posting. Gary

Minnesota 1986

In winter 1986 I did an elective term at the University of Minnesota before returning to graduate in Sydney. The professor of adolescent medicine and his wife were delightful and gracious hosts inviting me to stay at their home, but I do think that I did disappoint her when I didnt squeal with delight when she offered to drive me past this house. I explained we did have MTM in Australia but I had rarely watched her being brought up on our ABC and the BBC and only occasionally allowed to watch "Get Smart" and "Bewitched". My parents didnt approve of that American trash. Now if she had offered to drive me to Bedrock and past the Rubble's residence that may have been a different story....
