Why on earth someone would want that?

Everything on that page looks either tremendously BOL or worse Chinese made! :O
Gosh, they offer LG washing machine (very bol!) or GE branded (Vestel made, turkey crap machines!) Also, an oven without window?! :O I'm ashamed, never ever seen one in all my life over here, not even in old models from the 50s!
And what about the GE C12EHEW? Made in Italy (or China if they sold the production chains) with technology of 10 years ago :O :O :O sold for a price where you could get an excellent SMEG with conductimeter sensor drying and reduced water consumption! :O
And what about the Frigidare branded machines? They were sold over here as Rex Affinity, it was the only series where they didn't offer the extended warranty after the 2 years of mandatory assistance because they were SO unreliable!
And fridges, seem to lag years behind, with those low energy classifications!
Air conditioner at those otrageous prices... you could buy excellent Italian made products like ARGO with high COP and EER or brilliant Japanese ones like Mitsubishi or Toshiba ones for less than that price!

Why buy something in America to ship around the world at great cost when you can perchace it there anyway?

This website has been along for many years. Fortunately they changed the layout a bit, it was very dated. I can imagine Americans living abroad want to use more familiar appliances than available in the country they live in. And ofcourse for the people in Europe who want to buy an American topload washer it's a possibility to purchase it. The products come at great cost though.

I see they have some traditional Osterizer blenders, that might be something for me.

In Houston there are a few stores that only sell 220-240V items. It's usually very busy with ex-pats from foreign companies that work for American companies. They want to make a purchase here that they can take home with them later. Usually the return shipping is paid for by the companies that brought them here in the first place.

Even bigger than this are the dual-voltage items that will work on either U.S. or European voltages.

about 10 yrs ago,my local lost freight store had several "dependable care"maytag washers meant for australia and designed for 220/50 hz-they all sold in about a month for around $350,don't know if someone bought them and switched the motor,timer,and valve for US 120/60 hz usage...
