Ultramatic, you got me curious about your fridge and stove, I would like to see pics of those or at least know what brands they are—and why WOULDN’T an-almost $270 toaster fit well in there?!

I whole heartedly agree with you Louis, the Dualit is worth the premium price.  Solid construction and no nonsense operation.  I especially like the manual timer, and lever lift.  This gives the user total control over the toasting time.  I bought mine on ebay in excellent used cond. for $89.00, shipping included.

I had a Sunbeam T-35 for 14 years that I paid $5.99 for at the Salvation Army Thrift Store, and it was great, until it wasn’t.  And once it stopped being dependable all the tweaking I tried wouldn’t bring it back to working right.  I donated it to Goodwill, maybe some else was able to get it working right again.

If you think $269.95 is bad the KitchenAid ProLine/Artisan 4 slice was $500 until recently and still goes for $300. All for a toaster. LOL

The Wolf 4 slice toaster goes for $400 and the 2 slice is $300.

All toasters that don't likely work any better than a $10 one.

I sold a toaster for $300.,,.

When I was clearing out my parents’ store, I sold a few of the T-20 style automatic toasters. One was still in its unopened box. The buyer paid $300 (or so), with the stipulation that the box was never opened.

I wonder if the buyer had an X-ray machine to see what was in the box?
