"Some places never close--this one's TOO "open&#

Too "grand ballroom"--maybe even too EnnHuway(Why?)Cee for me, then--this is a place more designed for entertaining and having a heated corporate board meeting for me (with the right windows for jumping out of--or maybe pushed through) while reading the Stock Market pages than offering any place to sleep in, given at this is a "city that never sleeps"...!

So, "not for me"...!

Somehow I would bet that the owner of this 27 mil house would not be doing the laundry-he would more likely have a laundry service do it!And for the kitchen-would they cater their meals?

It looks like the set for one of those 'first person' computer games (holding a gun of choice), shooting at various ghosties, aliens and baddies.

Either that, or an Agatha Christie.

Here's the floor plan(s), with an alternative design option.

It somehow looks too 'plasticky', too glossy, too artificial. A 'Z-list' celebrity's house.

I was going to say 'Dynasty' - but the Carringtons had far better taste!

I just knew

by the photos before I clicked the link it is in a Trump building. It's very eastern European, way eastern.
Design specific, which can detract from non specific buyers.
The prices in Manhattan are ridiculous. I realize the square footage is huge, but that decor would be a gut job for many, and the ultra rich do it, if the price is right.
Fred Trump built middle class housing. The son, never.
My cousin owned a condo four blocks form ground zero. Nothing this extravagant.
The taxes, and association upkeep fee's just became to expensive, so she sold and moved to Brooklyn, just blocks from the bridge. It has a ground floor retail space she rents out.
I'm not a high rise fan, views or not. I like a large lot and back yard.
NY has everything though, and a lot of it. You want gold leaf on your ice cream, they have it. You want gourmet Japanese pastry treats, they have them.
I on the other hand enjoy grilling out doors in summer.

In this place--Washer/dryer,kitchen the owner of this place will have a group of MAIDS doing those things. Is this "house" an apartment in a high rise building?thats a turnoff for me.If I want a place like this want it to be a real detached HOUSE!!then you have a groundskeeper tend to the yard.I would have a collection of mowers-but the rest of the work the groundsman can do it.

Regarding the floor plans...

Nine toilets? That's just completely decadent. Imagine having to clean that lot - you'd never be done!

The sitting room with the two attendant bedrooms connected to the service entrance (lower left on the plan's current layout), could be used by the various skivvies to live in. Either that or used as a Granny Flat.

"Movin' On Up, to that Dee-Lux Apartment in the Sky.

Elvis Presley's Graceland is a lot more "commoner friendly"--and I didn't see any kind of laundry equipment there, other than there being a small utility room, off the kitchen viewing exhibit, and most-likely keeping a small set for doing The King's underwear--all those rhinestones he's mostly in had to obviously done by a service of "special care"...

A collection of lawnmowers: Your groundsmen better be "expert mowers & careful drivers" with those...

Those "master bedrooms" hopefully have electric drapery, for when the great view out there tries to get a great view in there...
