In light of your recent post i just would like to let you know. Jon is not a snob at all. Having had many conversations with him he is one of the most decent genuine guys ive ever spoken to. I question your sincerity and personal quality as a human. You mention your a washer repair engineer? Without starting an arguement your sister did probably have a dud miele but then my Hotpoint from 1994 copes very well with heavy soiled laundry and washes quicker than a Miele. Now being a washer engineer i cant help but feel your telling a few fibs. I wonder how many times your WONDERFUL ALL SINGING AND DANCING MUST HAVE ONE OF THOSE DYSON MACHINES have broken down, and your just to bitter having wasted all that money to admit it. Especially now that Mieles which are becoming very popular are putting folk like you out of business. Instead of getting jealous over other members Mieles, rant to those who buy cheap washers and dont bother callin engineers in by replacing directly with another cheap machine. Yes I have the guts to speak up. Enough said.

I second that!

Jon is very kind and decent towards others, even when they may not agree with his own opinions. If you don't have anything decent to say towards other people on this site, then don't bother saying anything at all.

Being a happy ownwer of MIELE 2888 AND A MIELE 3923 AND a very disappointed owner of a zanussi iz 16 i will have to say that there is no comparison between the two brands in terms of quality and performance. Zanussi went to the rubish bin in just over 2 years of everyday use. (Bearing and motor failure).
Neither the 2888 or 3923 shakes or vibtates and the performance of miele non cotton washes ie wool and easy cares are MIELES away than zanussi. Better rinsed, spun and much cleaner. Moreover my parents had a miele for 22 years and my sister has a w868 since 1996 without a single repair doing at least two loads a day. Come on 2drumsallergy this is quality and not Electrolux . I have a vented AEG dryer like Jons and needed attention 3 times untill now.Hope to get rid of it soon.(i will by a miele).By the way mums last dishwasher lasted 20 years and bought a new Miele 1220 sc last week.
MIELE anytrhing else is a compromise!

p.s. Without knowing Jon in person but through his postings here i think he is a nice guy and you are the one who used bad language and you should apologise.

oh I agree with you 100% there!! There was no need for all that abusive language e.t.c. And as for Miele, i must say they are a great brand, they hardly ever go wrong. I have a Zanussi- Electrolux at the moment which i am fond of, but there is a clear difference between the two.

Just thought i'd have my input lol

Take Care, Richard

Jon is a nice, friendly chap. It would not be that difficult to find many his age who are actually quite nasty. I see no need to attack him.

There is a wanting lack of manners with some on the Internet, which is rather worrying and reflects badly on the individual making such unfair statements.

If you are not prepared to say something to someone’s face and in their own home, you should not say it on the Internet. Hiding behind a user name or e-mail address is no excuse.
