Automatic Washer - The world's coolest Washing Machines, Dryers and Dishwashers

Help Support :

Was it decided these were made by Haier? Seems like this model popped up in a thread a few months ago.

It has the most agitator-like agipeller I've seen. Some new "agitator" top-loaders are little more than a washplate/impeller with a tube up the middle.

So bottom line, does it actually wash and rinse like a traditional washer? I will say that it seems sort of ridiculous to have an augur at the top of the agitator just for looks since it is not a dual action agitator.

Symmetric

The agitator movement approximatly is, an thus, load movement is not.

You start with a steady, non moveing system. The first move of the agitator adds momentum into one direction.
The reverse stroke induces about the same momentum, just in reverse direction.
Thus, the net momentum of the load after 2 agitation strokes is 0, and ploted against time, should look a little like a sinus curve shifted to never dip below 0.
Thus, most symmetric agitation will induce a resulting circular movement into the laundry.

....and that my friends is why agitator washing is soo exciting ! Look at the physics going on !
