I thought when you said "40's theatre buffs," that you were talking about MOVIE THEATRES. Like the architecture and design.

Think the first 3 pics are of actress Virginia O'Brien, who starred in both the stage & screen versions of "Meet the People", & also in "Thousands Cheer" during the 40's. I also at first thought this was going to be about movie palaces.
