I was reading the post concerning the 50's Frigidaire with the clamp on the compressor. On the Westinghouse, the compressor is supported by springs. There are three notches that the springs can be hung on. My compressor is not loud, but it has a slight clinking sound. Question - should I try moving the spring or springs to another notch to stop the noise, or is it better to leave well enough alone. Thanks!!
