Fridge #1 In South Austin OMG!!

That's the exact model my grandmother had when I was little.  All the way down to the pink liner and charcoal grey freezer door.  We inherited it in 1964 when she had to move out of her house to make way for a new freeway that would pass wright over her property.  This fridge replaced the 1946/1948 Kelvinator.  Due to size limitations, it was replaced by the big Gibson SxS in 1967 or 1968 and was sent in exile out to the garage.   My dad didn't keep it on at all while it sat in the garage.  It was to be the fridge we took up to our lake house when the shell was built in 1972.  But when my dad plugged it in and turned it on, Freon shot out everywhere.  So the Kelvinator went to the hill country.
