Hello, I'm brand new here and still figuring out how this forum works. Anyway, my house belonged to my great aunt and she bought it brand new in the 60s. I love the vintage kitchen, really haven't changed much of her original design. That being said the oven, aCaloric Ultramatic, needs repair. I believe my father said its the thermo sensor that needs replaced. Can anyone direct me where to find one? I can't seem to find a model or serial number on it. The picture is not my personal oven, but that is exactly what it looks like. Thanks for taking the time to read this.

Parts Source...

Vintageappliances.org,John Jowers in Clayton Ga, he restores stoves Etc,Also Modern Appliance Parts in Parma Ohio, I dont have the number but someone here does im sure, Dont let anyone talk you into getting rid of your oven, it will bake much better than what you buy today!

I always have good experiences with (antiquegasstoves.com) where they restore only classic gas stoves. Get their mailing address or send thm photos via ipod or email of the works as well as a description of your problem and they can ( for a fee ) send you the parts and directions on how to fix it.

Norgeway may be right. Is the pilot light still working? And if it does, will the burner light at all when the knob is turned on. The thermocuple is the safety feature that will only allow the gas to the burner when it reaches the right temperature from the pilot. That is why there is a 30-60 second delay when turning the oven control on and getting actual heat in the oven.
