Is this fridge one of those that defrosts based on how many times the door is opened?  There are more pix in the link below.

 

The price is kind of steep, but it's all there, which isn't always the case with vintage fridges.  I would hope that the -16 F reading is a result of placing the thermometer directly on the evaporator surface, otherwise the machine has serious temp control issues.

 

I hate to think of it getting pimped out and presumably gutted to accommodate a beer keg as the ad may suggest.

Thanks for the confirmation.  That makes it all the more attractive, but I'm not exactly ready to replace my glitzy '57 Combination with it.
 
My Aunt!

Has one similar to that that She and my Uncle got in 55 when they got married, It has twin juice dispensers in it that have never been used!
 
We had one in Grandmothers House

I think it was something like 60 door open/close and it would go into defrost. There was another button that you could push to start defrost at any time. Only problem was the floor was not quite level and the drip pan would leak water in the summer.
