Automatic Washer - The world's coolest Washing Machines, Dryers and Dishwashers

Help Support AutomaticWasher.org:

Success! Yeah, thanks to all - and you're welcome. It's a real pleasure to see vintage stuff go to an enthusiast.
Sure is a nice one, and I would expect cleaning anyways.

Jeff - when you get it cleaned and positioned, we'd like to see it in its new surroundings.

Best wishes on the rest of the adventure.

I'm still amazed at how complete that fridge is. For that alone, it's a rare find.

Is there any outward evidence of a fan existing in the door? Have you plugged it in and given it a listen yet?

I'm betting it will clean up well enough to be presentable in any kitchen. I got good results on my '57 Combination using Meguiar's Car Cleaner/Wax. Appliance touch-up (the kind that comes in a White-Out type of applicator bottle) super-sparingly applied will make those small areas of missing paint disappear.

Congratulations -- chances are slim to none that you'll find another of that same model in better shape and with all of its parts.

And btw, who stole my idea for the eggs?

Jeff my other half is willing to fight you for that fridge lol he came home and opened the door and went "I fu**ing love it!" Lol

if u use

Bleach or Clorox clean up be sure and rinse it well my aunt used Clorox cleanup and her fridge started to rust soon after

These photos are making me even happier with the fridge... you all know how so many of these parts are usually missing... the detailing will come when we make the move home! Anthony, as we talked on the phone, this will bring your partner into the appliance appreciation club! Just don't let him get too attached to this particular fridge :) And Petek, a good visit and flea market sounds great. I'm working on scheduling the road trip and looking forward to it already!

I will find the photos of the matching stove and post them tomorrow.

I have a 57 John Plain catalogue

That has that same fridge and your stove in it, Compare that to Whirlpools today!LOL, the door handle will weigh as much as a new fridge!!LOL

Thanks Jason, it is an awesome fridge, saving and enjoying it possible from the help of you and others here on AW! I have been trying to download a photo of my matching stove, but having windows 8 troubles (see thread in super forum, lol). But confirming Hans Norgeway's post, it is a 1957. There was an auction for an advertisement for this fridge on ebay, but looks like that auction ended.
