Hi Everyone,
Does any literature exist or does anyone know what the fan set up in an airflow (not the more common filtrator) Frigidaire dryer looks like? Is it a blade fan or a cage fan?
This is the fan shroud, and unfortunately this dryer was moror-less upon arrival, but this is the motor and fan I found. If this is the correct fan, I will just have to modify the propeller shaft length, but if this had a cage fan, I’ll have to find one that fits AND modify the propeller shaft!!! Old machines are never easy!

"radial" fan

That housing would use a radial flow,"centrifugal" type impeller-but not "squirrel cage"-that style will plug with lint.Original fan was probably bakelite with slightly curved radial blades.A GE fan might work-fits a 1/2" shaft-but not sure if GE is correct rotation.

the one I'm thinking of was used in GE dryers ~1960s-mid 90s era, some of the modern replacements of this are yellowish nylon instead of black bakelite.Looks like GE fan is correct rotation for the Frigidaire.I'll look in my spares stash to see if I have one handy to measure up.

I've come across some newer Frigidaire blowers and tons of GE's and even a metal Frigidaire blower. The housing is about 3x8, so the GE version would fit. Found a modern plastic Frigidaire that's 3x7.5 which should fit.

The plot thickens...
So I got the GE centrifugal fan, but at 8” there’s no way it will fit through the opening into the housing. The opening on the housing, pic above, is 6”.
Any leads on the exact parts or another solution?
I appreciate all of the help!!
