Hey all,

Can anyone help with the wiring of this phone? It's like the one that was originally in the main kitchen, so we'd like to install it. Any idea where the four lead wires go? Also, there is a set of white wires that were cut and Rich thinks those were for the (missing) bell.

Hopefully someone can help???

Chuck

I'm more familiar with WECo sets, but I have to say that I see no network in that phone set, and it can't work without one (at least not on a switched network of the type that typically provides basic residential service). Is there another component it attaches onto that has more guts in it? The panel shown is so thin, and considering its age, there's no way it could accommodate a network block from the period.

Nice panel phone- Automatic Electric, if I'm not mistaken. The circuit card with transformer is your network, only thing missing is the bell. You'll only need two wires to hook this baby up and trial and error won't damage it. I would actually start by connecting your red and green line feed to the terminals with the two cut white wires and going from there. -Cory

I seen these tpe of phone before myelf. The front of it comes off to mount it to the wall. There were also recesses into wall. you could add a ringer to it. From a used old phone or buy a ringer box and take it apart and used it.

But I still think there should be more to this phone itself. Looks like something is missing to me. II found one like it I would email them and ask if they have a photo of it from the back side.
