Beautiful machine, when did these go out of production?
1969, I believe.
It's sad that Philco went away, between these and the high-frequency wobble agitator they had some interesting machines.
27" Philco-Bendix Gas Combo
Cool, This is a 1959-61 model, I had just gotten the electric version of this machine from Ted earlier this year which was stripped for parts to help other machines survive. This machine was the first of the DOWNSIZED Combos from PB and while it helped keep the price under control and also allowed them to fit into more homes the capacity was just too small compared to WP-KM, MT, Norge, Westinghouses and GE-HPs combos. The other unfortunate thing with the downsizing was Philco never updated the construction quality from the shorter lived 1950s way of build appliances to the 1960s durability that was being incorporated into other redesigned 1960s laundry appliances.
Still this could be a very cool machine for someone not washing for a family of 5 people and it should be fairly fast and do a very good job overall, I would go after it if I didn't already have the next model year TOL version already restored from 1961.

It has to have the blower, otherwise it would be a gas oven. Blower models have the big door on top to access the lint screen.
