How did the inner edges of the doors make an airtight seal? I don't see a "flipper" on either door like today's French door refrigerators have for the other door to seal against.

Seal between the two refrigerator doors

Was accomplished by a small lip of vinyl on each gasket overlapping each other and on the right-hand door there is a 15 W heater wire inside the gasket to prevent condensation problems.
